We all know how important the habit of reading is! But we can’t imagine the inner strength of it. An individual with a reading habit could be considered as high personality and level of intellectualism.

Why you should develop reading habit?

Reading habit helps to analyze the social and family facts. An avid reader gathers knowledge every day. Whatever the situation you face, you know what to do. Being a stressed parents you know how to handle his autistic children among the jolly kids or preparing an office presentation in a short notice, never gets your nerve. You may easily differentiate between solitude and loneliness and same time you enjoy the color of life. All these possible because of a ‘reading habit’ makes you acquainted with all the real facts of life: pleasure, enjoyment, joy and satisfaction.

Through Reading you may easily understand the complex models of life. Life is not bed of roses. To be vibrant in life, we need to study complex model of life. There is no hidden formula of life that ensures your happiness. So the more you read, you may get easily understandable to know more about other survivor. It helps to understand yourself.

According to new research, reading is the best technique to relax and even six minutes can be enough to reduce the stress levels by more than two thirds. The Psychologists believe this is because reading may hold our concentration into such a significance   level that easily distracts our mind and literary it eases the tensions in muscles and the heart.

Reading worked best, reducing stress levels by 68 per cent, said cognitive neuropsychologist Dr David Lewis.He said: “Losing yourself in a book is the ultimate relaxation.

“This is particularly poignant in uncertain economic times when we are all craving a certain amount of escapism.

“It really doesn’t matter what book you read, by losing yourself in a thoroughly engrossing book you can escape from the worries and stresses of the everyday world and spend a while exploring the domain of the author’s imagination.

Reading sharps memory. Reading helps exercising our brain muscles and thus it enhances our memory. Harvard Health Publication says Challenging your brain with mental exercise is believed to activate processes that help maintain individual brain cells and stimulate communication among them. Building and preserving brain connections is an ongoing process, so make lifelong learning or reading should be a priority.

Thus, Reading habit may able to make you  more confident than ever.

If you want to get into a reading habit, just nurture it.Try to adjust with your learning issues and interest.

  • Every year make a list of five great books that you want to read.Buy and started reading.
  • Read every morning for 10 minutes at least or night before sleep.
  • Always Carry a book of your interest: detective, biography, articles, research, horror or love story etc.
  • Read with kids.It will have two mutual benefit: developing your reading habit and same time helping a kid to develop their reading habits.

The CEO of Berkshire Hathaway,Warren Buffet once was asked about his success,he pointed to a stack of books and said, “Read 500 pages like this every day. That’s how knowledge works. It builds up, like compound interest. All of you can do it, but I guarantee not many of you will do it.”
